Indian and global distribution:

This species was previously known to be distributed in northern India from Punjab to West Bengal, with the southernmost records in Madhya Pradesh and Nagpur (Maharashtra). The recent sightings by Paresh Kale (2010/11/13, image number ak631) at Harishchandragad, and by Milind Bhakare (2010/10/06, image numbers al003 and al004) at Thoseghar, both in western Maharashtra, represent a range expansion to the south-west, and the first records of the species from the Western Ghats.
